RNC Day 1: Republicans Protect Trans-Fat

Greetings good people,

I am at the RNC.

I traveled the marches in St. Paul seeking the Power of the People. To see how the good people of the Twin Cities would show how this War in Iraq has caused mass indigestion.

The people were out in force!! With joy!

Sadly, the police were protecting institutions of Trans-Fats. Here is a picture of Riot Police protecting St. Paul institution Mickey's Diner. While Mickey's is an establishment of the People, the greasy spoon was the only one protected in the entire block. The Thai restaurants, the Mexican restaurants received no protection.

Here, again, we can see that the government only wants to protect institutions that lead to heart disease and diabetes. Where the good people will go to eat unbalanced meals.

Think about this people, the St. Paul government closes down the Downtown Farmer's Market during the RNC, yet keeps Mickey's Diner open. The government believes down with fresh food, up with oil. It seems like local policy reflects federal policy in St. Paul.

in solidarity,
Mero Cocinero
